BARRY LENTH
HEAD COACH VARSITY
Barry Lenth completed his eighth season at the helm of Raven Volleyball in 2019. Named the 2016 and 2017 KVA Kansas Coach of the Year and 2015 and 2016 Sunflower League Coach of the Year, Lenth continues building Northwest into a perennial powerhouse. Since arriving at the school in 2012, Lenth has led the Ravens to 2 State Championships, 1 State Runner-up, 6 Final Four appearances, and two Sunflower League Championships in just eight years. He holds a 262-77 coaching record following the 2019 season.
As a club coach, his teams won numerous National Qualifiers and consistently qualified for the USAV National Championships. Lenth’s teams qualified in the Open Division where he had multiple teams finish in the top 25 in the country, 1 finished top 10 in the country, and 2 of his teams finished top 5 in the country.
Barry received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Iowa. After graduation Barry moved to Kansas City where he has worked for Sprint and DineEquity. He has played in multiple men’s and coed volleyball leagues both hard court and sand. Barry currently lives in Olathe.
